Dream Big! (EP)

I used to dream I was an astronaut Standing on the face of the moon. But I've been reading about space a lot And starting to revise my tune. Cause I could do something never done before. Yeah, I could build a city on Mars. Or maybe I could even help design the ship That will take us on a journey to the stars. Yeah, I could be reaching for the stars! Dream big! The more you read Dream big! The more you succeed Dream big! Jump in and dig Don't dream a little dream, dream big! I used to dream I was a rock n roll star With everybody cheering for me. But I've been reading about the way things are And thinking about the troubles I see. I could do something with the songs I sing Like putting a smile on a face. And maybe if I reach enough hearts and minds I'll make the world a more inviting place. Yeah, I could make the world a better place! Dream big! The more you read Dream big! The more you succeed Dream big! Jump in and dig Don't dream a little dream, dream big! I want to be the greatest possible me. I want to fill my cup. Give me a dream, I'll take it to the extreme! Pump it up, pump it up, pump it up, pump it up! Dream big! The more you know Dream big! The more it can grow Dream big! So jump in and dig Don't dream a little dream, dream big!

Whenever I sing a sing-along song Some folks never want to sing along. But here's a twist you can't resist... Everybody yawn! This is the yawn along song. Everybody yawn along. Stretch your arms from dusk to dawn And yawn, yawn, yawn. Like dandelions on the lawn, One inspires a dozen spawn. It's outrageous, it's so contagious! Everybody yawn! This is the yawn along song. Everybody yawn along. Stretch your arms from dusk to dawn And yawn, yawn, yawn. Scientists have no clue why we yawn, We just do. To cool our brains or stretch our brawn, Whenever that breath is drawn, It catches on! A dog, a lion, turtle or fawn, Even a fish if he's put upon Will stretch a jaw, open his maw, And yawn, yawn, yawn! This is the yawn along song. Everybody yawn along. Stretch your arms from dusk to dawn And yawn, yawn, yawn. Yawn, yawn, yawn, yawn, yawn!

Stargazer 03:55
I look into the nighttime sky And watch the constellations drifting by I search beyond the Milky Way I look for places worlds like mine might stray So endless is this universe I believe that there must be Somebody out there right now staring back at me Stargazer Although so many light years lie between us out in space We are tied together by this moment that we share Stargazer Maybe some bright distant day I'll greet you face to face And let you know you're not alone out there Do you connect the dots above? What stories do their shapes remind you of? Have you measured every star? Do you marvel at how beautiful they are? Do you dream about exploring in a starship? I do too! Can you picture me here right now trying to picture you? Stargazer Although so many light years lie between us out in space We are tied together by this moment that we share Stargazer Maybe some bright distant day I'll greet you face to face And let you know you're not alone out there Stargazer Stargazer I wish upon a star I could fly to wherever you are And let you know you're not alone out there. I was lazing on the porch with a library book last Saturday night when my dog started howling and the sky took to pulsing with a purplish light. A great glowing gadget glided over the trees like a gigantic hamburger hanging in the breeze. Then the bun popped open, and a critter flew toward me like a meteorite. And I heard him say, "Akbo ekto <ptht> neeky wokky. Uptuck neewuk <pwoit> eeky bokky. Eppa leppa wakka wikka pikky pokky poo. Pobbalagga bigga bogga zibby zabba zoo!" He hit the ground bouncing with five arms flapping like a wacky disaster. He planted his foot and waved a dozen eyes at me while my heart beat faster. More nervous than a wiener in a hotdog stand, I said, "W-Welcome to Earth" and I held out my hand. Did he shake it? No, instead he pointed what I took to be an alien blaster. And once again he said, "Akbo ekto <ptht> neeky wokky. Uptuck neewuk <pwoit> eeky bokky. Eppa leppa wakka wikka pikky pokky poo. Pobbalagga bigga bogga zibby zabba zoo!" The blaster went "Zap!" but I never looked back to see if I was OK, 'cause like a mouse at a cat convention I was rather busy running away. Behind me came the sound of that one foot thumping, or maybe it was only my own heart jumping. Either way the sky began flashing with a now familiar purple display. And from above I heard, "Akbo ekto <ptht> neeky wokky. Uptuck neewuk <pwoit> eeky bokky. Eppa leppa wakka wikka pikky pokky poo. Pobbalagga bigga bogga zibby zabba zoo!" A bright blue beam dropped straight down around me from the burger-shaped ship, and it sucked me up like a straw full of soda with one quick sip. Then that five-armed fiend had me strapped into place with a dozen buggy eyes waving up in my face. He put the nasty looking blaster in the middle of my forehead and he let it rip. Well I yelped and twisted like a hyperactive poodle at the end of his chain, and I struggled for a spell before I noticed that I really wasn't feeling any pain. I was soon to discover that bug-eyed invader didn't zap me with a weapon. It was a nifty translator! Every word he said was now repeated by a happy little voice in my brain. What I heard was, "Akbo ekto <ptht> neeky wokky." ("Hi! My name is Bob.") "Uptuck neewuk <pwoit> eeky bokky." ("I come from the planet <pwoit>.") "Eppa leppa wakka wikka pikky pokky poo." ("I’m here to study your science and culture.") "Pobbalagga bigga bogga zibby zabba zoo!" ("Please escort me to the nearest free public repository of information.") In other words... Take me to your library! Take me to your library! "Pobbalagga bigga bogga zibby zabba zoo" means take me, take me, take me to your library! Well I showed my new five-armed dozen-eyed friend what direction to fly. And from the library shelves he grabbed histories, geographies, folk tales, art, and sci-fi. I recommended Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, and we checked them all out on interplanetary loan. Then Bob said he'd better get home, but that it didn't have to mean goodbye. So here I sit zipping along in that burger-shaped ship the sixth day in a row, and I've seen enough hyperspace I've been yawning like an Eskimo watching snow. One thing I figure I will desperately need for the trip back home is more books to read. So I've been practicing up and when we get to Bob's planet I know just how I’ll say hello: "Akbo ekto <ptht> neeky wokky. Uptuck neewuk <pwoit> eeky bokky. Eppa leppa wakka wikka pikky pokky poo. Pobbalagga bigga bogga zibby zabba zoo!" Take me to your library! Take me to your library! "Pobbalagga bigga bogga zibby zabba zoo" means take me, take me, take me to your library!

Disneyland, Superman, the one horse open sleigh, Ferris wheels, parachutes, the U.S.A.; All of these, all of these came into being when somebody, somebody dreamed a dream. Webkinz World, GPS, hybrid electric cars, cellular phones, MP3s, rovers exploring Mars; All of these, all of these came into being when somebody, somebody dreamed a dream. Dream, dream, dream a dream. Dream, dream, dream a dream. Flying cars, urban farms, anti-gravity boots, robo-cooks, day glow dogs, invisibility suits; Each of these could come true if someone dreams them too; Somebody, somebody just like you. Dream, dream, dream a dream. Dream, dream, dream a dream. Dream, dream, dream a dream. Dream, dream, dream a dream.
